Annabelle Bruyndonckx is a leading Belgian lawyer in Healthcare & Life Sciences, with over 25 years of experience. Her practice at Simmons & Simmons LLP is firmly rooted in the EU regulatory framework, with a focus on clinical trial and investigation agreements, the promotion and distribution of pharmaceuticals and medical devices, as well as compliance matters. She also advises on public procurement laws in healthcare, addresses challenges relating to borderline products (such as medicines, food, cosmetics and devices) and product qualification, and tackles early market access issues.

In recent years, Annabelle has broadened her expertise to support the healthcare and MedTech sectors with the implementation of the AI Act and digital health regulations within the EU, ensuring that new technologies comply with all applicable requirements. She is also a member of the board of Healixia and serves as President of both the Regulatory Affairs and the Legal, Compliance & Ethics Education Groups of Healixia.
