Who can participate in JUC’s Specialist Networks?
The target group differs per Specialist Network. Each network description clearly states who it is relevant for, ensuring an optimal group composition. In general, our networks are of interest to lawyers, in-house counsel, tax advisers, paralegals, and compliance officers.

Does JUC have an online shop?
Yes, you can register for participation in the Specialist Networks via our website. After your registration, one of our colleagues will contact you to welcome you.

How long has JUC existed?
JUC was founded in 2001 in Denmark and has more than twenty years of experience in training legal professionals in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, and the Netherlands.

How many participants are there in a Specialist Network?
This varies per network. To ensure sufficient attention for each participant, we keep the groups small, depending on the field of law and the group composition. Typically, the number of participants ranges between fifteen and forty.

Can multiple people from my firm participate in the same Specialist Network?
A maximum of two participants per firm or organisation may join the same network. This helps promote diversity and learning opportunities.

Where do the Specialist Networks take place?
The networks are organised at the Novotel Convention Centre, Europaboulevard 10, 1083 AD Amsterdam. This location is easily accessible by public transport and by car.

Can I travel by car or public transport?
Yes, the location is situated next to the R10 and Antwerp-Berchem station.

Course day:

Can a colleague take my place if I am unable to attend?
Yes, this is possible, but we encourage participants to attend in person as much as possible. A stable group of participants is a key element of the network.

What are the start and end times of a course day?
The course day starts at 12:30 and ends at 18:30, unless stated otherwise.

How many points do I receive for participating in a Specialist Network?
Unless stated otherwise, a full network programme awards twenty points, equivalent to five points per training day.

Who are the instructors of the Specialist Networks?
Our instructors are renowned lawyers, judges, or professors who hold leading positions within their field of law.

Can I choose to attend only one course day?
No, unfortunately this is not possible. The network is built around fixed groups that meet regularly, which strengthens interaction and the learning environment.

Are Specialist Networks sometimes relocated or cancelled?
JUC reserves the right to reschedule or cancel networks. This only occurs in the event of instructor illness or insufficient registrations. In case of cancellation, the full fee will be refunded; however, hotel and travel expenses will not be reimbursed.

Preparation for the Specialist Network:

Do I need to prepare for the network?
In most cases, no preparation is required. If preparation is necessary, you will be informed in good time.

Do participants receive materials in advance?
Yes, you will receive a welcome email with a link to the participant list and the agenda.

Invoicing:

Is there a registration deadline for the Specialist Networks?
There is no fixed deadline. You may register as long as places are available.

Can I pay the invoice in instalments?
No, the invoice must be paid in full within seven days.

Do I need to pay the invoice before I can participate?
Yes, the invoice must be paid in full before you can participate in the network.
